A group of UC Communication alumni, in partnership with the Department of Communication, announces the formation of the “UC Friends of Communication” alumni organization, effective July 1, 2015.
The mission of the UC Friends of Communication alumni organization is: 1) to encourage success of current UC Communication students in the classroom and beyond; 2) to provide social, networking, and other professional development opportunities for UC Communication alumni; and 3) to support the UC Department of Communication through fund-raising and advisory activities.
UC FRIENDS OF COMMUNICATION BOARD: CALL FOR SELF-NOMINATIONS
The UC Friends of Communication alumni organization is forming a leadership Board of 8-12 Communication alumni from our BA or MA programs. This Board will complete the formation of the organization, set an agenda for 2015-16, and work with the Department of Communication to execute that agenda. UC Friends of Communication will also make connections to the greater UC alumni community by working with the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences alumni effort as well as the UC Alumni Association.
We are soliciting nominations to serve on the new UC Friends of Communication Board. In this first year (July 1, 2015-June 30, 2016), board members will be slotted into one-, two-, and three-year terms.
